Maintaining the original lobby wall granite, complementary new finishes lighting and millwork were added to refresh a 70s lobby.
The building owner wanted to refresh the entryway of their 1970s building, which was looking a little dated. As the client did not want to replace the original lobby granite walls, the design required choosing material finishes and colors that would harmonize with the granite, but also make the space appear fresh and new. A custom lobby desk was designed to not only to function as a reception desk but also house security monitoring equipment. A new ceiling was installed featuring thin LED slot lights to give a bright contemporary look. A new seating area, new stone floor and coordinated paint finishes completed the refresh.
