Rivers & Christian designed a 16,000 sq. ft. American Eagle Commuter Terminal to relocate all the American Eagle aircraft operations from Terminal 4. The project site was remote to the central terminal area, accessed by a Busport operation from Gate 44 at Terminal 4. This facility echoes the use of modern materials to equate the same American Airlines facility at Terminal 4, with the use of color, materials, and directional signage.

The fourteen gate facility contained holdrooms, restrooms, concessions, operations offices and an entrance vestibule. Jetwalks were provided to protect passengers from the elements. Aircraft ground power and preconditioned air and potable water was provided at each gate. The project received City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs design approval.
